High School: Member of the 2007 North Half Runner-Up and the 2008 State Championship Runner-Up Golden Wave baseball teams. Played for Head Coach Gary Enis at Tupelo High School. 2007 State Champion Swimmer for the Golden Wave Swim Team. Batted .339 with 10 doubles, 1 triple and 30 RBI his senior baseball season.
Community College: Played for Coach Rick Collier on the 2009 State Championship Itawamba Community College Indian baseball team. Hit .341 with 6 doubles and 25 RBI’s in only 24 games. Started in every outfield position and DH. Stole 8 bases, drew 17 walks. Sophomore year, started 21 games and appeared in 35. Hit .241 with 2 doubles, 13 RBI and stole 14 bases.
Blue Mountain College: Hit .315 last year for the Toppers. Had 43 starts at 7 different positions on the field. Became a weekend starter on the mound for the Toppers. Great student. Business major.
Personal: Full name is Channing Tyler Walker. Born January 16,1990. Son of Thomas and Dana Walker. Has one brother, Caleb Walker, who is a senior second baseman for Tupelo High School. Named to the Transouth All-Academic Team last season.
