GLEN, Miss. – Alcorn Central High School's Dillon Sartain has signed to be a part of the 2017-18 Blue Mountain College Golf program.
Sartain, a top-ten golfer his junior year at ACHS, has won seven of 12 tournaments he has competed in and placed third in the state during his senior season.
As ACHS's number one golfer, he is also classified as a Mississippi Scholar Tech Master and carries one of the highest GPAs in his graduating class.
"It really means a lot to me and my family to be able to continue competing in golf at the collegiate level, and I'm excited I get to do it at Blue Mountain College," Sartain stated.
ACHS head coach and former BMC Lady Basketball Topper Charlette Bain Foster said, "Dillon is not only a super golfer, but he is such an amazing young man. I am so proud of him."
BMC head coach Kevin Barefield said he believes adding Sartain to his team will add depth to an ever-improving squad.
"Dillon is a competitor and an extremely capable golfer. We look forward to getting him on the course and evaluating where he will help us. Not only is he a great athlete, he's also outstanding in the classroom, and I believe that will add up to a great collegiate career for him."
