BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain College has announced Athletic Director Will Kollmeyer has stepped down from his role at the North Mississippi Christian College.

Kollmeyer, who came to the college in October of last year, has accepted the newly minted position of Director of Marketing and Community Relations at Northeast Mississippi Community College, and will begin his duties Sept. 1.

Kollmeyer is only BMC's third ever AD, following Lavon Driskell and Johnnie Armstrong.

During his tenure at BMC, Kollmeyer aided in the adoption of a new athletic logo for the college, along with signature deals with Eastbay and Nike.

He implemented morning updates on Blue Mountain College Athletics on WNAU Radio and supervised the addition of the collegiate archery program.

"I appreciated the opportunity Dr. McMillin and the board of trustees gave me to be the athletics director here at Blue Mountain College," Kollmeyer said.  "I'm proud of what we accomplished and I wish the BMC family nothing but the best in the future."

BMC President Dr. Barbara McMillin commented, "Will provided leadership for BMC Athletics during a period of rapid growth and expansion.  We are grateful for the progress that has occurred during his tenure and for him serving so well as leader and spokesperson for our intercollegiate athletics program.  We wish him the very best as he pursues a new opportunity at NEMCC."

Blue Mountain College, which competes inside the Southern States Athletic Conference of the NAIA, is currently searching for Kollmeyer's replacement.
