BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain College Athletics has announced senior Nathan Gaillard has been chosen to intern with the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) during the fall season.

Gaillard, a Ripley native, has worked inside BMC's Sports Information Department since his junior year and becomes the first student from Blue Mountain College to intern for the SSAC.

He is currently compiling athletic records for the conference, aiding in special projects for SSAC Commissioner Mike Hall and will assist with the SSAC soccer and volleyball championships later in Montgomery, Ala.

"I can honestly say there is not a finer young man than Nathan Gaillard," BMC Sports Information Director Brett Fowler said.  "I've known him for several years and he has always proven to have the highest degree of Christian integrity and work ethic.  Our coaching staff and student-athletes really respect him and he will be a great asset for our conference."

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to work for one of the best conferences in the NAIA," Gaillard stated.  "I'm happy to represent Blue Mountain College."

Assistant Commissioner Matt Hicks commented, "We are excited to have Nathan join our staff as an intern.  He comes highly recommended from his time working with Blue Mountain's athletic department, and we feel he will be a valuable addition."
