COVINGTON, Tenn. – Blue Mountain College Women's Golf finished 3rd as a team at the FHU Fall Invitational here Tuesday at the 5,799 yard, par 72 Covington Country Club.

SSAC member Faulkner won the team title, shooting 321-307-628, while host Freed-Hardeman finished 2nd with scores of 319-324-643.

Blue Mountain's final board was 371-354-725 in 3rd and Lindenwood-Belleville came in 4th with 443-425-868.

Blue Mountain's Karli Knox (FR/Amory, Miss.) came in tied at 10th overall individually, shooting 88-89-177, leading her team.

Lenzi Sanderson (FR/New Albany, Miss.) wasn't far behind, shooting 90-88-178, finishing 12th.

Dejone Stemmett (FR/Witbank, Mpumalanga, South Afr) shot a total of 97-87-184 for a tie in 15th, Allie Dubose (FR/Mantachie, Miss.) shot 96-90-186 for an 18th place finish and Morgan Whitaker (SO/Huntsville, Ala.) ended in 21st with scores of 100-98-198.

Faulkner's Anna Reid won the individual title, shooting 73-77-150.

"I'm really proud of how we responded to our challenge we set before the girls at the end of yesterday's round," BMC head coach Kevin Barefield said.  "This was the lowest score in all our rounds on the season.  We set a goal of shooting below 360 on the round, and our girls met that, so I'm just pleased with where we're going right now."

Blue Mountain returns to the links Oct. 23 and 24 at the Martin Methodist Invitational at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, Miss.
