Chunn joins BMC cross country program
BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Mary Chunn, a burgeoning athlete from Blue Springs, Miss., has signed a cross country scholarship with Blue Mountain College.
Chunn ran for the Spartans, a cross country program for homeschooled students based in New Albany. She was also a swimmer for the Tupelo Aquatic Club, twice qualifying for state championships.
“Mary is an extremely hard worker,” said BMC coach Heather Duley, who coached the Spartans. “The thing that most impressed me is how she was willing to make the sacrifices to improve. Her background in competitive swimming is an example of her athleticism. She’s going to be a valuable addition to our program.
