NEMCC catcher signs with BMC
BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. -- Kyle Emison, a member of championship teams at Mooreville High School, has signed a baseball scholarship at Blue Mountain College.
Emison, a catcher, played on the 2005 state championship team at Mooreville High School and on the North Mississippi championship teams in 2006 and 2007 -- all under legendary coach Rex Berryman,
He played two years at Northeast Mississippi Community College. In 20 games for the Tigers, he hit .448 with 2 home runs, one double, one triple and 10 runs batted in.
"Kyle is a good solid ballplayer," said BMC coach Curt Fowler. "He's been on winning teams wherever he's been and he'll bring that winning attitude with him. He knows what it takes to become a champion."
