Toppers add 3 to round out squad

3 signees

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – New Blue Mountain College coach J.D. Parker rounded out his first Toppers basketball squad recently with the addition of three players: 6-5 forward Spence Wicks, 6-3 guard Drew Kelso and 5-10 point guard Corbin Harris.

“I’m really pleased with the group of players we have, especially with the addition of these three,” Parker said. “With them coming into the program, we’ll have good depth and more competition for each of the positions on the team.”

Wicks played two years at Northeast Community College, where he averaged 4 points and 3 rebounds per game for the Tigers. In his senior year at Booneville High, he averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Kelso comes to BMC from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, where he played one season after two years at Lincoln Trail Community College in Robinson, Ill.  He averaged 6 points a game at Lincoln Trail, and 14 points and 4 assists at Valley View High in Jonesboro, Ark.

Harris averaged 6 points, 3 assists and 2 steals a game at Charlotte Christian High in Charlotte, N.C.

  • Corbin is the greatest guy!! We are so proud of him and know that he will be one of your best players. We're going to miss him and all the excitement that he brings on to the court.
