Heather Duley accepted the position as Blue Mountain College head cross country coach in March, 2010.

In 2001, Heather and her husband, Scott, started a cross country program at East Union Attendance Center.  While coaching at EU, the Urchins finished as state runner-up three years in a row and boasted three different individual state champions.

The Duleys left East Union after the 2004 season to move to Louisville, KY, where Scott served as pastor of a church plant.

Upon returning to New Albany in 2007, Duley started a cross country team for local homeschool students.  Over three years, the group has grown from 20 to 75 participants, and several runners are currently area standouts.

Coach Duley has also had experience in building cross country programs as an athlete.  She competed with the first cross country team for Houston High School in Germantown, TN.  Her positive experience starting a program led her to Lambuth University, where the school was just forming a cross country team.  While at Lambuth, Duley served as team captain four years, received academic all-conference, was chosen for "Who's Who among Colleges and Universities," and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

As a coach, Duley focuses on the team aspect of cross country.  "It is great to see a group of individuals work together and achieve more as a team than they ever could on their own."

Heather, her husband Scott, and their four children live just outside of New Albany, MS.  "I am so thankful for this opportunity to influence the lives of athletes.  I hope to train them to be stronger runners, but I also want to point them to Christ and His sufficiency in all things."
