Assistant Softball Coach

Kerry Nelson accepted the position as assistant coaching softball coach in June 2009. Nelson is a native of Thaxton Mississippi in Pontotoc County and resides there today with his family. Nelson is married to the former Michelle Self of Pontotoc. Nelson has four children, Lakyn 19, Meggin 18, Caleb 14 and Eli 10.

Nelson has over 15 years of experience in the region Coaching Softball, Baseball and Football. Nelson has been a part of 10 high school softball state championships series while winning 5. Nelson has been the pastor of the Grace Memorial Baptist Church since 1996. Nelson owns and operates By His Grace Productions and Wall Zappers. Nelson is a Chaplain and Volunteer Coordinator for Community Hospice.
