Topper Day

Posted by on 31 August 2010 | 0 Comments

Thank you to everyone who had a part in Meet the Toppers Day. This was the first event sponsored by our Topper (Booster) Club.  They did a great job in getting this event organized and staffed.  It was a good day and we had approximately 500 plus people who attended.  I think everyone had an enjoyable time.  I know that I did.  I, along with all our coaches, were very excited about the support that was shown to our teams.  We appreciate your support so much.  Please visit our website often to keep up with the happenings in our athletic program.  Our athletic contests and events will be getting underway very soon, so there will be much to talk about in the upcoming weeks.

The Blue Mountain College Booster Club will host Meet the Toppers on Saturday, August 28, 2010.  The events will begin at 8:00 A.M. with a 5K run and fun walk.  The events of the day will then move to Tyler Gymnasium on the BMC campus where contests and entertainment will be the next events. During this time everyone will have the opportunity to purchase your Official Topper Wear. Tshirts, caps, visors, sunglasses, fold out stadium chairs, polo shirts, jackets, sweat shirts, etc. will be available.  So that our fans can save valuable money, season tickets will be available for purchase, along with an opportunity to join the Booster Club of BMC.  A plate lunch will be available for $5.00 and the lunches will be served from 11:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.  The lunches will include a hamburger, chips, cookie and a drink.  At approximately 12:30 p.m. everyone will have the opportunity to Meet the Toppers.  All of our athletes will be introduced.  So make plans to come out for a day of fun, but also to show your support of the Blue Mountain College Athletic Teams.  Concessions will be available throughout the events.  Remember to get your Topper Gear so you can proudly display the Ram of Blue Mountain College.

Season Ending Thoughts

Posted by Lavon Driskell on 4 March 2010 | 0 Comments

The 2009-10 basketball season has come to a close, and it is time for reflection.  Our Lady Toppers are a very special team;  I said this from the beginning of our pre-season practices.  Their attitudes and work ethics are that of champions, and that is why our team has made great strides and laid the foundation for a trip to the National Tournament in the future. They are women of character!  Our overall record was 11-20, and 11 of those losses came from top 25 teams in the country.  All of those teams will be in the National Tournament. We have 2 members of our team who will move on with their new careers as their basketball careers at BMC come to a close.  Katelynn Wright and Lauren Burgess have meant so much to our team and college.  They will be greatly missed because of their basketball skills, but also because of who and what they are.  Lady Toppers, "I am proud of you".  You are a lot of fun to be around and coach.  I truly enjoyed this season.  Thank you for making it so special.  Coach
