Men's Basketball - 1st Week on the Court

Enthusiasm has been the key ingredient as the Toppers completed their first week of actual practice on the court. Drills have been spirited and there seems to a great sense of bonding taking place. Different leaders appear to step forward each day and give everyone a positive boost.

Senior Brad Pressley, entering his third season as a Topper, has provided strong senior leadership and has been a player that brings a calming influence to the court.

Newcomers, Renell Collins and Lakendrick McCullum, both members of the 2009 state junior college championship team at Jone County Junior College, have provided outstanding defensive quickness and instincts.

Tuesday evening the Toppers will be traveling to Corinth, MS, where they will be the guests of Oakland Baptist Church at their annual "Tailgate Event." Alan Duncan, who was a place kicker for the University of Tennessee in the late 1970's and played professional football, will be the featured speaker.
